PRIVACY POLICY
We take data protection seriously and strive to protect your personal data and to use it exclusively for the purposes stated here. Below you will find information about the nature, scope and purpose of the processing of personal data and the use of cookies in connection with the use of this website.

Data transmission and logging
Every time this website is accessed and every time a file is retrieved, data about this process is automatically – without your intervention – temporarily stored and processed in a log file. Before storage, each data record is anonymized by changing the IP address. It is therefore not possible to assign the collected data to a specific natural person. In detail, the following data is stored about each access/retrieval:
- Anonymized IP address
- Pages accessed Names of files accessed
- Date and time of access
- Amount of data transferred
- Message whether the retrieval was successful
- Browser type and browser version
- Operating system used
This data is only evaluated for internal purposes and to improve the offer and is then deleted. It is not used for any other purpose or passed on to third parties. The legal basis for this is Art. 6 para. 1 p. 1 lit. f DSGVO.
A right to correction, information and deletion of the data stored in the context of the pure reading use of the online offer does not exist as a rule, since for the purpose of the pure transmission of the content, the storage of data only occurs temporarily for the surfing process itself, these are deleted immediately afterwards and are consequently no longer available for a request for information. We use so-called “session cookies” for this purpose – they belong to the category “technical cookies”.
Newsletter
On our homepage you have the possibility to register for our newsletter. For the registration process we require just your consent and email address.
Brevo (formaly called sendinblue) is used as the newsletter software. Your data will be transmitted to Brevo (Sendinblue GmbH). Brevo is prohibited from selling this data and using it for purposes other than sending our newsletters. Brevo is a German-French, certified provider, which was selected according to the requirements of the DSGVO and the Federal Data Protection Act. More information here: https://www.brevo.com/information-for-email-recipients/
You can withdraw your consent to the storage of the data, the e-mail address and their use for sending the newsletter at any time, for example via the “unsubscribe” link in the newsletter.
The legal basis for data processing is Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a DSGVO (your consent).
Our newsletter does not contain any tracking functions ( we therefore do not use tracking pixels or personalised links).
When you sign up for our newsletter, we send a confirmation email to the email address you provided during registration. In this confirmation email, we ask you to confirm your registration by clicking on a confirmation link (so-called double opt-in procedure). We store a copy of this confirmation email as well as the time at which the confirmation link was activated. We use this data exclusively to be able to prove that we only send newsletters if they have been explicitly ordered by the recipient. The legal basis for this storage is Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f DSGVO. The data processing is carried out in the interest of maintaining verifiable consent to our newsletter.
External links and transmission of third-party content
We use links on our website to external pages that are specially marked and whose content is not located on our server. The external contents of these links were checked when the links were set. However, it cannot be ruled out that the contents have been subsequently changed by the respective providers. If you notice that the contents of the external providers violate applicable law, please inform us. This privacy policy only applies to content on our servers.
On our website, we use other services to integrate external content. The forwarding takes place because we have a legitimate interest in enriching our content with others and thus relate it. In doing so, you will be transmitted to the respective services. In order to protect your legitimate interests, namely to control which data processors learn that you are accessing our content, the forwarding usually takes place only after you have confirmed it. If such content and services are used, the collection and use of your data is governed by their respective privacy policies. Your consent is given by allowing or blocking cookies.
Use of cookies
Our website uses so-called “cookies”. These are text files that are stored on your computer and allow us to analyze the use of our website. You may refuse the use of cookies by selecting the appropriate settings on your browser, however please note that if you do this you may not be able to use the full functionality of this website. In terms of data protection, cookies are divided into 3 categories:
- so-called “technical” or also “functional” cookies – they serve to ensure the security and function of the website (see above).
- “statistical” cookies – they can be used internally or externally for further evaluations
- so-called “marketing” or also “3rd party” cookies” – these cookies are used exclusively by external service providers for evaluations, marketing and advertising purposes (tracking).
“Technical” or “functional” cookies
The information and data generated by a technical cookie (including your shortened IP address) are transmitted to our server and stored for analysis purposes, which serves to optimize and secure our website. Your IP address is anonymized during this process, so that you remain anonymous to us as a user. The information generated is not passed on to third parties. Technical cookies are usually deleted from your device after you close your browser. They are therefore completely harmless from a data protection point of view – therefore, technical cookies do not need to be agreed to.
“Statistical” cookies
The usage information generated by statistical cookies (including your IP address) is stored on your device for a certain period of time for analysis purposes (usually 1 year). If you visit our website again at a later time, your device recognizes that you have already visited this page and informs our website of this. From this, statistics can be created about your behavior on the website. The information generated by “statistical” cookies can be used both internally and externally for analysis – and can therefore also be passed on to third parties. They are critical from a data protection perspective – therefore the use of statistical cookies must be consented to.
Marketing / 3rd party cookies
These are tracking cookies that transmit your surfing behavior (including your IP address) to other service providers. Tracking cookies are used to provide you with information according to your surfing behavior (mostly advertising). Your IP address is not anonymized during this process, so that you become transparent as a user. The information generated by “3rd party” cookies about your use of our website can be evaluated both internally and externally – i.e. also passed on to third parties. They are critical from a data protection point of view – therefore you must agree to the use of these cookies.
We are not interested in your data! But we link to our video and audio material, which is stored by other service providers for free. These service providers, however, automatically analyze your usage behavior with both “statistical” and “3rd party” cookies. To give you full control over this, you can set cookie preferences on our website!
