Biography of Andreas Wahl

• Born in Stuttgart, lives in the ruhr area since 1989
• Studied jazz guitar at the “University of Arts ArtEZ” in the netherlands 1992-97
• Winner of several music awards:
Westfalenjazz 1994, Jazzwerkruhr 2002, 2004, 2007, 2009, International Songwriting Competition 2005, Jazzpreisruhr 2012, 2013
• Playing concerts all over the world and recording CD’s as a solo artist or with different bands and projects mostly in the field of contemporary jazz and improvised music:
Zodiak Trio, Freie Wahl, The Bliss, A.Tronic, The Dorf, Thoneline Orchestra, Experimentle Band, Peter Herborn Large, Solo, WDR-Big-Band, Beam, Essen Jazz Orchestra, Trio MTW, FUCHSTHONE ORCHESTRA, JO, ….
• Played on many international festivals like :
