Jens Boeckamp

Jens Böckamp born in 1986, studied jazz saxophone and composition in Cologne and Helsinki. Based in Cologne he has been working as a freelance musician since 2005. He is co-founder, arrangeur and saxophone player of the Subway Jazz Orchestra since and co-founder of the label FLOATmusic. As a bandleader he produced three recordings with “Jens Böckamp FLOW Quartet” and numerous others as a sideman. As a composer he was awarded with the WDR jazz price in 2017. Since 2020 he is a member of the Big Band of the german armed forces.
