Julian Drach

Julian Drach grew up in the musical city Trossingen and studied jazz saxophone at the University of Perfoming Arts Stuttgart with Prof. Christian Weidner and at the Cologne University of Music and Dance with Roger Hanschel, Prof. Niels Klein, Prof. Jonas Burgwinkel and Frank Gratkowski.

Concerts with various band projects have already taken him to different European countries and to Vietnam. With his own band projects and as a sideman, Julian Drach is in demand artistically throughout Germany and has already shared the stage with artists such as: Steffen Schorn, Ansgar Striepens, Michael Gibbs, Kit Downes and Peter Evans. From 2020 to 2023 he was a member of the renowned National Jazz Orchestra Germany (BuJazzO). Julian lives and works in Cologne and is an active part of the Cologne jazz scene.
